That Sad Time Again

It's that time to be sad again.  The soon to be retired accessories and Decor Elements lists were published and they are long, just like to the stamp list.  But that also means that some great new stuff will fill the pages of the soon to be released new catalog.

Get them before they are gone! The retired accessories and Definitely Decorative (including Décor Elements) lists are now available and won't stay around for long--these items are only available while supplies last!

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed. This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.

With the introduction of the 2012-2013 annual catalog, we have made a very big change to our Stampin' Pads.  Introducing Firm Foam pads! They change your stamping experience for the better.
We know you're going to love these new Stampin' Pads-just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:
  • Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
  • Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
  • Pad stays juicier for longer resulting in better ink pad longevity!
In addition, our new Stampin' Pads
  • Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
  • Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)-just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
  • Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
  • Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!

In addition, please note the following about the new catalog:
  • Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
  • 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered
  • 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections

Below you will find links to both lists.  As stated above, these items are only available while supplies last, so head over to my online store and get your products today.

And Another Sad Day

Well, it is another say day.  The annual Retiring Stamp Set List was released this past weekend, and of course, there are so many sets I am sad to see go, but know that it just makes room for new great stamp sets.

Hundreds of stamps and accessories from the 2011-2012 catalogs are retiring, and this is your chance to get them before they're gone. Many products are only available while supplies last, so be sure to get your orders in early!

When you view the retiring stamps list, you may notice it's longer than in years past. During this transition to the new annual catalog, there are a higher number of stamps being refreshed and replaced than usual. While many stamps are going away, most are being replaced so that the breadth of our stamp lines is every bit as broad as ever!

Check out the list today by clicking on the picture above.  Orders can be placed by me or through my online store.

Happy Stamping!

The Colors of Spring Blog Hop

Well the llamas are at it again.  Creating beautiful projects just for you from all the wonderful Stampin' Up! products out there.  This time we are using the soon to be retired 2010-2012 In Colors and/or beautiful spring images from either the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog or the Idea Book & Catalog, including this month's sneak peek at the Summer Smooches line.  If you have been following along in this hop, you have hopped to the end and you should have arrived from the wonderful blog of Stephanie M.  If not that is okay, at the end of this entry will be links to get you on the right track.

The first project I wanted to share with you today is something that I recently read about in my monthly demonstrator's magazine.  A digital cookbook!  I was so inspired I started a family cookbook shortly after reading the article.  Needless to say, I will probably be working on that cookbook for a while.  They may be Christmas 2014 presents.  The theme for that cookbook is slightly different from the page I am sharing with you today.  This page shown below is a spring inspired page using In Colors and the Summer Smooches downloads that are available now.

I used an 8x8 custom created scrapbook page in My Digital Studio.  The stamp set used is the Summer Smooches Bright Blossoms.  Colors and papers used were Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz Stripes Designer Series Paper, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, Concord Crush, and Poppy Parade.  Basic Pearls and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch helped accessorize the page.

Don't you think these would make great gifts.  Whether you print a few recipes or a whole book, a custom cookbook is a perfect one-of-a-kind gift.

My card happened kind of by accident.  I had a card planned using the marking tapping technique for this month's stamp club, but unfortunately, the punch I has ordered for the project went on back order and won't arrive until after club night.  So, having some of the new Summer Smooches products I set to work on a new project using some of what I had prepared of the other card.

For this hop, I changed up the color scheme to use the soon to be retired In Colors.  I love creating cards that are different from the standard card.  This one uses the love note size card on a standard size background.

Sets:  Bright Blossoms
Card Stock:  Pear Pizzazz (5 1/2 x 4 1/4, 3 x 6), Whisper White (5 1/4 x 4, 2 x 2), Poppy Parade (2 1/4 x 2 1/4)
Ink:  Daffodil Delight Marker, Pear Pizzazz Marker, Poppy Parade Marker, Poppy Parade Classic Ink Pad
Accessories:  Big Shot, Stripes Embossing Folder, Pocket Full of Posies Designer Series Paper (4 x 1), Ribbon Border Punch, Stampin' Sponges

So this is the official end to the Colors of Spring Llama Hop, but that doesn't mean it's over.  Use one of the links below to take you either to our first hop post Linda, or to the previous page Stephanie.   Thanks for hopping with us and happy stamping!

Varieties of Celebration

Whenever I have the chance to sneak away and "play" in my stamp room, I celebrate it.  I always love every opportunity I can get to use my stamps, paper, ink, and accessories.  I had that change this afternoon.  I also had a card idea in mind, which doesn't happen very often.  Although, this outing to my stamp room was not as joyful as in the past.  My reasoning for my creating this afternoon was to make my third and fourth sympathy card.  By the end of the week I will have sent my fourth sympathy card in a week.

Although I am thankful to get the change to create, some times the reasoning behind the creating is not always a happy one.  In the past week, I have had four friends or family members lose a member of their family.  It has been a time of reflection for me as I sat a worked on creating a card that would be just right in expressing my sorrow and thoughts to those who needed it.  I rejoice in what and who I have around me and pray for those who have lost their loved one.

The first two cards that I sent out were cards that I had created a while back ago and had stashed for just this occasions.  I just never thought I would need so many sympathy cards at one time.  These most recent cards were inspired from the Faith In Nature hostess set and card on page 13 of the Idea Book & Catalog.

Stamp Sets:  Faith In Nature, Thoughts & Prayers
Card Stock:  Crumb Cake (8 1/2 x 5 1/2), Calypso Coral (Scallop Trim Border Punch), Whisper White (3 1/4 x 3 3/4, 3 x 3 1/2, 2 3/4 x 3 1/4)
Ink:  StazOn Black, Old Olive, Crumb Cake Classic Pad & Marker
Accessories:  Scallop Trim Border Punch, Basic Pearls, Aqua Painter, Stampin' Sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals, Color Spritzer Tool

Happy Stamping!
